Notifications

BoxD sends a push notification the moment something in your pool needs you — so nobody has to sit and refresh the app. They arrive automatically, whether you're the owner running the pool or a participant playing in it. There are four:

• Someone wants more boxes → the owner. When a participant is at their box limit and requests more, you (the owner) get an alert, so you can approve or deny it with a tap.
• Your request was answered → you. When the owner approves or denies your request for more boxes, you hear back right away — no need to keep checking.
• A box won → everyone who owns it. The instant a winning box is marked, the person on that box gets the good news — and so does anyone sharing the box with them.
• The numbers were drawn → everyone in the pool. When the board's numbers are drawn and the pool locks in, every participant gets a heads-up that the game is set and ready to watch.

Everyone controls their own alerts. Each of the four is a separate on/off switch under Settings → Notifications. Turn off any you don't want — your choices are yours alone and never change what anyone else receives. (They apply across all your pools, not one at a time.)

One thing to allow first. Notifications only reach you if you let BoxD send them when your phone asks — usually the first time you open the app. If you tapped "Don't Allow," you can switch BoxD's notifications back on in your phone's own Settings anytime.
