BoxD Sports Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information BoxD Sports (“BoxD Sports,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, how we use it, and your choices. BoxD Sports is a mobile application and website for organizing and tracking sports pools using points. BoxD Sports does not accept wagers, hold participant funds, transfer money between participants, or operate as a sportsbook or payment service. All pool values in BoxD Sports are expressed as points only.
BoxD Sports is the public name of the product. The company that operates BoxD Sports is SavDel Capital LLC.
Information We Collect
Account information. When you create a BoxD Sports account, we collect your first name, last name, email address, and a password. Your name is used as your display name on boards and rosters (shown as “First L.”). Your password is stored securely and is never visible to us in readable form.
Optional profile information. In Account settings you may add a phone number, date of birth, street address, a default box name, and favorite sports, teams, and pool types. These fields are optional. Date of birth may be used to send members birthday messages and may be used to verify age (BoxD Sports is not for children). Address may be used to send merchandise and to help verify accounts.
Required-info pool invites. If a pool organizer turns on “On — required info” for invites, a join request collects first name, last name, email, and phone so the organizer can approve the person. Other invite settings (Off, or On without required info) do not require phone. Phone, date of birth, and street address remain optional in Account settings.
Activity within the app. We store the information you create and use while using BoxD Sports, such as:
- Pools you create or join, including membership and organizer status
- Boxes you claim and Survivor, Pick’em, or other picks you make
- Points associated with your pools, and organizer collection-tracking marks (points only — not bank or card details)
- Pool chat messages and owner-to-participant direct messages
- Notes you add in a pool
- Contacts you save on My Player List or import (name, email, and/or phone), so you can invite people to pools
- Your plan status (for example Pool Pro, VIP, Founding, or tester access) and related entitlements
- Notification preferences and device push tokens, if you turn notifications on
Website forms. If you use a BoxD Sports website form, we collect what you submit:
- Founding / early-access signup: name, email, phone platform (iPhone or Android), and optional notes about pools you run
- Suggest a pool: your idea, and optional name and email if you want a follow-up
Information We Do NOT Collect
- No wagering or pot money. BoxD Sports never collects, holds, or transfers participant funds. It does not operate as a sportsbook or payment service.
- No card or bank details stored by BoxD Sports. If you buy a subscription in the iOS or Android app, Apple or Google process the payment. We receive entitlement status (whether a plan is active), not your full card number.
- No advertising profiles. BoxD Sports does not use third-party advertising networks or tracking cookies to build advertising profiles. We do not sell, rent, or trade your information.
- No location tracking. BoxD Sports does not track your physical location.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Create and secure your account
- Operate the product (pools, boards, claims, picks, points, chat, invites, live scoring, and related features)
- Send service messages you ask for or that the product requires (for example account, invite, or pool activity email and push notifications)
- Process and honor subscriptions and organizer entitlements
We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not sell it.
How Your Information Is Stored and Shared
Account and app data are stored using Supabase, which provides database, authentication, and related backend services on our behalf.
The BoxD Sports website is hosted on Vercel.
BoxD Sports works on the web today. iPhone and Android apps are coming to the App Store and Google Play. Apple or Google may collect information according to their own privacy policies, which we do not control.
In-app subscriptions are managed with RevenueCat together with Apple and Google. RevenueCat helps us know whether a plan is active. Payment card details stay with Apple, Google, or the store — not in BoxD Sports.
Push notifications use Expo / expo-notifications (and, if you opt in on the web app, browser push). That requires storing a device or browser push token tied to your account.
Transactional email is sent through Resend.
Live sports scores come from DataFeeds by Rolling Insights. That feed is public game data (scores, clock, and related game state), not your account profile. Manual scoring remains available as a fallback. A Live Draw uses a real-time video service so pool members can watch the draw.
To protect against bots and abuse, sign-up and sign-in on Boxd Sports use Cloudflare Turnstile. Turnstile's handling of data is described in Cloudflare's Turnstile Privacy Addendum: https://www.cloudflare.com/en-gb/turnstile-privacy-policy/
We do not otherwise sell your personal information.
Data Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your information, including secure authentication and access controls on our database. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but we work to safeguard your data.
Your Choices
- Access and update. You can view and update your account and optional profile fields in the app (Settings → Account).
- Delete your account. You can delete your account in the app: Settings → Login & Security → Delete account. You must delete any pools you own first. Deleting your account removes your login and personal account data. Pools you joined as a participant can remain for the other members, with your account unlinked from those entries. If you cannot use the in-app flow, contact us at the email below.
- Notifications. You can change notification preferences in the app.
Children's Privacy
BoxD Sports is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of BoxD Sports after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
