Drawing the Numbers

A shared box-pool step — applies to Boxes, Score Change, Minute, and Season / Series.

The 0–9 numbers along the top and side of the board aren't set when you create the pool — you draw them once the board is ready. The Draw Numbers button appears once all 100 boxes are claimed (or you can tap Draw Now early, with a heads-up that empty boxes won't have a winner).

You have three ways to draw:

Random — Tap once and BoxD instantly shuffles the numbers onto both sides of the board. Fastest option; nothing to do but tap.
Manual — You type the numbers in yourself. Use this when the numbers were drawn physically — pulling them from a hat or a deck of cards — and you want the board to match. BoxD checks that each row uses 0–9 exactly once.
Live Draw — For owners who like to draw the numbers in front of everyone. BoxD connects a camera so your participants can watch you pull the numbers yourself in real time — a deck of cards, numbers out of a hat, however you do it — wherever they are. As you reveal each number on camera, you enter it into the board. BoxD doesn't generate the numbers here; you draw them live, the group watches, and you key them in. (This is how these pools really run at the bar, the firehouse, the party — now everyone can be part of the draw, even from home.)

Once drawn, the numbers lock and never change during the game — that's what keeps every pool fair. But mistakes happen before kickoff, so BoxD gives the owner three safety nets:

Cancel Draw — In the middle of a Live Draw and need to stop? Tap Cancel to back out of the in-progress draw and start over. Nothing locks until the draw actually finishes.
Undraw Numbers — Drew the numbers by accident, or a moment too early? Undraw clears them and reopens the board so you can fix things and draw again. BoxD warns you first if people have already claimed boxes or you've set pre-game prizes — and it's blocked entirely once a winner has been marked or any scoring has started, so a real result can never be pulled out from under your players.
Edit Numbers — Need to correct a digit after a draw? Edit Numbers lets you adjust the board directly, as long as a draw isn't in progress and the game hasn't started producing winners.

All three are owner-only, and each asks you to confirm before anything changes.
