Your Account
Everything about your BoxD account lives under Settings — for owners and players alike.
Open Settings from your home screen and you'll find four areas: Account, Login & Security, Notifications, and About. Tap into any one to see just its options — nothing is buried, and each area does one job.
Account — your name and box name. This is who you are inside BoxD.
- First and last name — edit either anytime.
- Default box name — the short name your boxes show on a board (your initials, a first name, or a fun handle). Set it once here and BoxD prefills it every time you claim boxes, so you're not retyping it in each pool. You can always change it for a specific pool as you claim — and it's what everyone sees on the board, never your account name, so your identity stays private.
- Optional profile details — a phone number, date of birth, or address if you'd like them on file. All optional; leave any of them blank.
Login & Security — your password and sign-in.
- Change your password. Enter your current password, then your new one. That current-password check keeps someone who picks up your unlocked phone from quietly changing it.
- Forgot your password? On the sign-in screen, tap Forgot password? and enter your email. BoxD sends you a reset link — open it, choose a new password, and you're back in. The link is just for you and expires after a while, so request a fresh one anytime if it's been a bit.
- Delete your account. This permanently removes your account and your data, and it can't be undone. If you still own any active pools, BoxD asks you to delete those pools first — that way the people playing in them are never left stranded. Once that's done, deletion goes through and you're fully removed.
Notifications — your alerts and your inbox. BoxD keeps everyone in the loop automatically, and this is where you control it.
- Four on/off switches. Someone requests more boxes (to the owner), a request you sent was answered (to you), a box won (to everyone on it), and the numbers were drawn (to everyone in the pool). Turn off any you don't want — your choices are yours alone and never change what anyone else gets. (They apply across all your pools, not one at a time.) There's more on what each alert means in the Notifications guide.
- Your inbox. Tap the bell on your home screen to see your full history — every alert BoxD has sent you, newest first, with a small unread badge showing how many you haven't opened yet. Tap any one to jump straight to the pool it's about.
- Muting hides the pop-up, not the record. Turning a category off stops the push notification — but the item still lands in your inbox history, so nothing is ever lost. Quiet your phone without missing what happened; it's all waiting in the bell whenever you look.
About — the basics. App version, and quick links to the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.
For entertainment purposes only. BoxD organizes and manages your pool — it does not collect, hold, or transfer money or anything of monetary value.
